Every so often you come across a good book, and even rarer to that a really good technical book. Recently I came across Dan Cederholm’s and Ethan Marcottes “Handcrafted CSS, More Bulletproof Web Design”. I would say if you’re interested in not only CSS and the introduction of CSS3 in to your Projects but the trends of the modern web - read this book! Each chapter contains practical examples that relate to three aspects of craftsmanship as they apply to design with CSS: bulletproof design, progressive enrichment, and re-evaluation of past methods and best practices. I personal found that the book inspired me to think carefully about my code in terms of the “what if’s”, but also gave me a good idea of how to implement new web standards safely.

Dan Cederholm is also a author for alistapart.com and is the founder of simplebits.
Ethan Marcotte is the owner of unstoppable robot ninja!
